This page explains how personal data is handled on arwele.dev, the personal portfolio website of Arvydas Sadzevicius.

Last updated: March 14, 2026

Summary

This is a static portfolio website. It does not use analytics, ads, user accounts, or contact forms.

Contact is handled through email and external platforms such as LinkedIn.

The site uses a service worker for offline caching and limited browser storage for technical purposes only.

1. Controller

Arvydas Sadzevicius is the controller for personal data processed through this website.

Website: arwele.dev. Contact: hello@arwele.dev.

2. What this website does

This website is a personal portfolio. It presents professional background, technical projects, diagrams, screenshots, and contact options.

The website does not provide user accounts, comments, newsletters, contact forms, checkout, or user uploads.

3. Data processed when you visit the site

When you visit the website, standard technical request data may be processed by the hosting environment. This can include IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser details, and similar server log data needed for delivery, reliability, and security.

The website itself does not use analytics, advertising pixels, profiling tools, or marketing scripts based on the current implementation.

  • Standard hosting and server log data processed for delivery and security
  • Browser cache data created by the service worker for offline support and faster repeat visits
  • A small temporary sessionStorage flag used only for service worker cleanup logic

4. Cookies and browser storage

This website does not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies based on the current implementation.

It does, however, use technical browser storage that is limited to site operation.

  • Cache Storage may store pages and static assets locally for performance and offline access
  • sessionStorage may store a short-lived technical flag related to service worker cleanup
  • These mechanisms are used for technical operation, not behavioural tracking or advertising

5. Contact by email or external platforms

If you contact me by email or through LinkedIn, I may process the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message content, and any other details included in the communication.

That information is used only to respond to your message, discuss roles or collaborations, or continue communication that you initiated.

6. External links and third-party services

The website includes external links to third-party services such as LinkedIn and GitHub. If you click those links, your browser connects directly to those services and their own privacy policies apply.

The website is hosted on third-party static hosting infrastructure. Standard infrastructure-level processing such as delivery, security, and server logging may therefore take place at hosting level.

The site uses Next.js font handling and does not appear to make direct runtime requests to Google Fonts from visitors' browsers under the current setup.

7. Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, the main legal basis for operating this website is legitimate interest in presenting professional work, keeping the site available and secure, and responding to messages sent by visitors.

If a contact message relates to a possible professional relationship, pre-contractual steps may also apply where relevant.

8. Data retention

  • Hosting and server log data is retained according to the hosting provider's operational policies
  • Browser cache data remains in the visitor's browser until it expires, is replaced, or is manually cleared
  • Email or LinkedIn correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the inquiry and maintain relevant professional records

9. International transfers

If you use external services linked from this website, such as LinkedIn or GitHub, your data may be processed outside your country or outside the EEA, depending on those providers' infrastructure and policies.

10. Your rights

If the GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and, where applicable, data portability.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated if the website changes, for example if analytics, forms, embedded third-party content, or new services are added.
